DAWAI RECORDING
This song by the band "Russkaja" was recorded in March 2008 and released on their CD Single "More"
I used 18 inputs from the band plus 6 room microphones as the band wanteda very "LIVE" sounding
recording. The F.O.H. mixer was a Soundcraft Series 5 which is one of my favorite consoles,
excellent pre-amps. As always, I recorded from the channel direct outputs. In this case pre-fader
but it also works if they are post fader. Just more work at mixdown.

Russkaja Live VIDEO "BOIKA"
One of my major achievments, getting this in the can after only 20 minutes for band changeover.
I had a helper to plug in my multicores to the YAMAHA PM4000, we worked like a Formula 1 pit crew.
This was at the "DonauInsel Fest" in Vienna, 2007. Between 20,000 and 30,000 Audience!

Contact me and tell me the what, when and where. If you aleady have your own mix tech
I am quite happy to work with him/her and concentrate on the recording. Price is dependent
on degree of difficulty, travel distance and time involved. Cheaper than you think!
Please note that the venue needs to have a Mixing desk with direct outputs on all channels.
Higher quality desks have better mic pre-amps, this makes a big difference to the sound quality.
I recommend MIDAS mixers, simply the best.
Soundcraft boards range from excellent, to abysmal (Spirit).
Allen and Heath desks are useable as are many of the low to mid end desks from elsewhere.
Many venues are switching to digital mixers and if the desk is fitted with enough ADAT cards,
I can connect via "LightPipe". So far I have´t seen even one didgital board that has this.
You can take delivery of the recording as raw tracks, exactly as recorded and make your own
arrangements for mixdown. Alternatively, I offer a mixdown package. I will do a rough, quick mix
of the performance so you can decide what to use. I usually deliver this as mp3 via the internet.
Once you know what you want I will mix and master for you in the format of your choice.
